AK COURSE EXPERIENCE Preparation for Your Upcoming Course
CONNECTION & SET UP | AUDIO & VISUAL GUIDELINES
This is a virtual event hosted via Google Meet. You will receive a text/email with a link 24 to 48 hrs before the course
Download the Google Meet app and keep it updated to the latest version and familiarize yourself with this meeting tool. We suggest doing a practice run through with a friend or family member. Please note you may need a google account.
Join the Google Meet session 10 mins before the start time and test your microphone and webcam.
To get the most out of your session we suggest that you log in using 2 devices at the same time. 1) Laptop or Computer 2) Mobile Phone
When prompted to use your second device please follow the following steps to avoid interference.
- please turn off its speaker on the top right corner
- turn off your microphone
- turn off the volume on this device
Ash recommends a “gooseneck mount or tripod” for class -this is not required, just a recommendation. This can be found easily on Amazon
Position your webcam so you have good lighting on your face so you can be seen clearly.
Avoid backlighting from a bright window.
Find a quiet space without interruptions / background noise
We ask that you have the following ready before your session: paper, pencil, pens and henna cones.
COURSE MANUALS
We recommend you print it and have it on hand during your class.
CAMERA USE IS ESSENTIAL & REQUIRED
In this Henna Course, live, on-camera engagement is an essential element for meeting the course learning objectives, so students will be required to use their cameras. Exceptions to this policy would likely compromise our learning expectations and standards, and therefore may not be granted under most circumstances.

We at Ash Kumar pride ourselves on our professionalism, honesty and integrity. We are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards possible related to our online classes - therefore the following policies have been put in place.
Please note that anyone found violating these will be asked to leave the workshop and no refund will be given. NO EXCEPTIONS:
- Please do not share login/zoom information with others.
- Recording your session is strictly prohibited
- Additional people may not be in the room with you participating and benefitting from the course
HENNA CONES
We recommend you use AK READY TO USE HENNA CONES purchased from AK Beauty Shop Online (UK, USA or Canada)
Unfortunately, in the past some students have used store bought cones or from other sources and experienced leaks, blockages, inconsistency in paste etc. This definitely had an impact on their course experience and their ability to fully participate in the class.
- Please ensure you order your henna cones 1 to 3 weeks in advance depending on your location.
- AK will not be held responsible in the event that you are unable to participate due to the quality of your cones. No workshop or course refunds, transfers, date changes will be offered.
