I first decided I wanted to start an Ash Kumar course in January 2011, I remember feeling uncertain if it was the right thing to do, especially as I had never picked up a henna cone before (except to pass it to someone else!) I attended the Day 1 henna with Mr Kumar as my educator and decided that it was so right that I signed up to the rest of the course and the total look course that same day.

The henna courses I attended were taught by Mr Kumar and the Total Look by B, the industry knowledge and techniques they shared are invaluable,and they both took the time out to give individual advice which is such a boost as it tailored the course to suit me. The henna course has led to me being more confident in myself and to trust my creative eye more. The makeup skills led me to be part of the makeup team on the entrants at Miss Asian Model 2011 an entry round into Miss England an experience I won’t forget.
I love to learn and develop, the courses at the Ash Kumar Academy have given me skills for life and for me that is what I have taken away, thanks to the guidance and experience of the educators.
